Our commitment
This website belongs to Eyal Gani, a working DJ, producer, and curator, and it is meant to be usable by anyone who visits it — including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or switch devices. Accessibility isn't a checkbox for us; it's an ongoing part of how the site is built and maintained.
Standard targeted
We aim to follow the principles of WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and, where applicable, Israeli Standard ת"י 5568. We are not claiming formal certification against either standard, and we have not independently confirmed whether ת"י 5568 applies to this site as a legal requirement — this page simply describes what is actually implemented today, honestly and specifically.
What's implemented today
- Semantic HTML landmarks throughout the site — header, navigation, main content, sections, and footer — so assistive technology can understand the page structure.
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images; purely decorative images are marked so screen readers skip over them instead of announcing noise.
- Accessible labels on every icon-only control — social media icons, carousel navigation, the mobile menu toggle, and the gallery lightbox controls all have clear, descriptive labels for screen reader users.
- All interactive elements — links, buttons, and form fields — are reachable and operable using a keyboard, not just a mouse or touch.
- Animations respect your system's reduced-motion preference where used, so visitors sensitive to motion see a calmer experience.
- Background and gallery video content plays muted by default, so nothing plays sound unexpectedly.
- A skip-to-content link is implemented and visible on keyboard focus.
Known limitations
We'd rather be specific about what still needs work than claim the site is perfect. As of this writing:
- Color contrast has not yet been independently verified across every text and background combination on the site.
- Custom, clearly visible focus styling has not yet been applied to every interactive element — some rely on the browser's default focus indicator.
These are known, and addressing them is planned as a follow-up implementation effort.
Browser and assistive technology
This site is built to work with modern browsers and standard screen readers. No specialized plugin or browser extension is required to use it.
